If you think the above is a joke or some marketing catch, well, think again as it is a real fact that is happening now to one of our clients in Brisbane.
The idea of remarketing is based on targeting visitors who have already been on your website. However, remarketing has different shapes.
It can be in the form of ads that show to previous visitors as they browse the web, Facebook and Instagram.
It can be automated-emailing (if they left their email, of course) based on what they visited and clicked on your site.
The above is an example of remarketing applied to an e-commerce website. Technically, it’s cart recovery.
When I proposed a cart recovery strategy to the client, they initially refused.
But I was so sure that it would work that I proposed to implement it for free and that they would pay me only if I were right. And I was.
With a 65% open rate, we calculated that every single email we send to that, engaged visitor, generates $10. Every single click makes $50 in revenue.
They will never stop remarketing.
